Scholarship Program

In recognition of former CEO/General Manager Bob Alderson (CEO 1977-2000) the Boone Electric Community Trust awards 13-$2,000 scholarships in May of each year. Scholarships are awarded to one graduating student from each of the high schools in the Boone Electric Cooperative service area. Two at-large scholarships are available to students currently attending or returning to college. There is one scholarship available to students who are homeschooled and/or attend private school.

We are no longer taking scholarship applications for 2026. Check back here late 2026 for 2027 scholarship information.
